Cottrell Key

Yesterday we had to leave the lush and comfortable confines of Stock Island Marina Village. We made ready and left the slip at about 10:10. Luckily our exit was assisted by the Southeast wind and it only took 4 people to coax her out and point in a friendly direction. This was a great marina experience, a spa for vessel and crew.

We saw that the wind would be up for Wednesday and Thursday with a possible trip North on Thursday/Friday or Friday/Saturday. From here to Fort Meyers we are looking at about a 24 hour run.

It was a little rocky last night and it will be the same today and tonight here. The wind is to stay from the ESE to SE and we will be in the lee of Cottrell but with wrap around slop.
