FRACAS: the boat

2011-06-26 18-49-38 - IMG_0580Fracas is a Whitby 42 and we have owned her since 2010. Since that time we have made many upgrades and prepared her for her life as our home on the water. In 2014 we  converted FRACAS into a trawler to transit the U.S. through the rivers. Our masts were shipped by truck to Mobile Alabama. We ended the season in a hurricane hole in Georgetown Bahamas.

She has her Ford Lehman intact and in great working order. I baby her. She is fully equipped with Garmin instruments and North Sails.

Fracas weathered hurricane Joaquin. The 2015/2016 season was spent in the Bahamas mostly in the Georgetown area. We had folks visit while we were stationary. We summered Fracas in Fort Pierce this past summer and are awaiting launch. This past season she was lucky to only be side swiped by Hurricane Matthew. Winds in the yard got to about 100mph. She managed to survive unscathed.
