Day twenty three: 06:10 Anegada – moving day

Good morning, our days away from the snow are numbered. We have two more sleeps until we have to catch the ferry to St. Thomas and then one sleep until we fly to Toronto for a couple of days of reorientation then back home.

Per usual I am up and no one else is. I made one pot of coffee because the plan is/was to go to shore for coffee and breakfast at Neptune’s Treasure it is a good value and the coffee is reported to be good.

Yesterday was a large day. We did rent Harley’s (Yamomoto scooter) and we did put one momma on each with us. They were tricky to ride with just one and tough to ride with two. As the day went on it got easier and we went faster. We spent a couple of our hours at Cow Wreck Beach my favourite. The beach*****The service****The food**. The last time we were there the food was much better.

We checked out the other beach spots at Anegada Beach Club and Loblolly and rode home in a slight rain shower to make our reservations for dinner at Neptune’s Treasure. Back to the boat for cocktails and to dress up…our cleanest remaining clothes and took the dinghy in in the dark.

Dinner was very good. Louise and I had Slobster, Rick had swordfish and Mary Lynn had steak (not a fish eater). The dinghy ride back to the boat was an adventure; no lights on the boat, no lights in the dinghy and the dinghy was impaired. Eventually we found the only dark hull in the harbour and ended the day. No euchre.
