Day one

November’s fourth, twenty seventeen

We have completed day one of our winter  17/18 migration. We took our time getting into travel mode slowly with multiple stops and dithering along the way. Mandatory stops in Sudbury and optional stops in Parry Sound and Barrie. We checked out the JT’s canvas shop in Barrie. They have just about everything there. They are located near the Costco around Mapleview Dr.

We had a room booked in Niagara Falls and made it in around 19:30 and went walk about. We made small donations to that Horse faced woman’s casino and as anticipated we were robbed. We looked at the falls and then came back and went to bed.

We had a traumatic departure. It was tough to leave our grandson H, our cellar and of course his parents. The women came up with a staged departure for us with all the good byes then we hid down the road while he went to day care, then we went back and finished our packing, cleaning and storing.  I will have to read Dr. Spock’s book again to try to understand why we did that.

Today I will leave my camera out where I can reach it and get some pics of our trek today. As always, more later
