Trailer trash to boat yard trash…

We are in transition. Today is our last day staying in the camper or trailer here in the park. Starting tomorrow, we will become yard trash as we move onto Fracas and stay on the dirt until we fly home on Thursday. When we come back on the 3rd, we have one day to finish preparations and launch on Friday, the 5th. Then we have to play tide roulette and hope we can get enough water to get out to Charlotte Harbor once we get through the lock. The wind affects the tide. Any north-component wind and Fracas might cut a groove. or hang up even at high tide.

On the day we launch, the tide is as at left: at sunset, there is almost enough water to get us out without touching, assuming no north wind. The worst case is that we go through the lock and try it near sunset and sit on the ground until the tide refloats us by 10 p.m. Then we just scoot out and anchor for the night in Charlotte Harbor and go to Fishville in the morning.
