We spent the day completing our jerry rig on the exhaust and preparing Fracas for the Gulf Stream. The cold front arrived as advertised and with a vengeance. Wind gusts were over 30 and the wind was 24 to 27 kts. There was a little rain in the early part of the pre-frontal wind but after that it was pretty dry and there were no squalls to speak of.
In one of the periods when our BTC phone had a connection I emailed Chris Parker for routing and a strategy for crossing that took into account our lack of a reliable power source and our Whitby’s inability to sail efficiently dead down wind.
