Day 9, August 25 2014 Charlevoix part 2.

If you pronounce Charlevoix correctly the locals know you are Canadian. Our American friends do not pronounce the x but say voy. Similarly, Fracas becomes F rake us (but what about the ‘u’) JEEZUZ.
The weather decision has been made. I will not knowingly go out and be mid passage when a Lake Michigan thunder boomer is possible. The next three days look productive and we can leave earlier and travel longer to make up our time.

  1. See you are docked beside a nice looking Tiara. The Stewarts , Bill and Betsey, who own Turner’s Boat House, have a home n Round Lake. Their boat which is similar to yours is parked at their front door. Charlevoix is a great small town to explore, nice shops. If you can stay until October, they have an Apple Festival that attracts crowds the size we see on Haweater. Jim says to tell you sympathy is in the dictionary, he is working hard today and you are living in the lap of luxury in Round Lake.
Too bad about all the fog, seem to be making good time , lucky. As per usual your blogging continues to impress. Joanne.
