CXXXI – Christmas

Thursday December 25th, 2014

Merry Christmas to all you folks out there. You may recall that we are not doing gifts this year. Mary Lynn and Santa couldn’t quite follow the program so we have Christmas stockings this morning.

Our plans for the day have been endorsed by all the crew so when we can get FRACAS seaworthy we will be out of here. The wind is good for our little journey so we will sail over likely under Genoa and Jigger. Can’t heal with all this crap spread around FRACAS such as it is.

IMG_1799Our destination is Cayo Costa. As previously mentioned it is a state park. They are open 365 days of the year. Some of the activities on land include: Hiking, biking, camping, bird watching, surf fishing, manatees and dolphins. Sounds like a perfect Christmas venue.

The turkey is presently thawing in a cooler in the cockpit. I think the festive fowl will fit in the oven but that is not my department. We will anchor in Pelican Bay and do the typical boater anchoring stuff…ride around in the dinghy.

I will report later today or when next we have internet.
