We made it to the airport in the capable and friendly care of Luther the taxi driver. We got checked in with a friendly counter person and are across the street at Kermit’s airport lounge. Having my last Kalik for some time. Pretty good beer.
More on the straw market. Just as we were leaving the hotel there was a press conference at the site of the market and the Deputy Prime Minister had flown in from Nassau with a sizable delegation. Hopefully this means that they will help fund the restoration of the market.
More later from along the way. We will miss the Bahamas.
