Hobe Sound

Tuesday January 31st, 2017

As the wind collapsed last night we were able then to hear the sound of the surf crashing on the beach on the ocean side. It was great to hear that sound again. The relentless and powerful waves working the beautiful beach here at Hobe Sound. You can see us on the Hobe Sound webcam. Look for the west view and the two masted sailboat with the Maroon sail covers. Webcam

As the sun rose this morning behind Last Mango I couldn’t resist to take a picture. This is just a little red sky in the morning hardly a warning.

John and I walked the beach yesterday. The ladies thought it was too cold, the anchor was dragging or they were making bread so we ventured over alone. Going for a walk with John is always a risk. We walked about a mile and came across a wrecked sailboat about the size of Fracas. I will do more when we explore further today.
